DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain build, integration, and automation systems for a custom operating system.
• Support the engineering team by providing optimized solutions for local development and continuous integration.
• Build automation and reporting infrastructure for pre-production and in-production testing of hardware and software changes.
• Collaborate with global software teams to bring up builds on new and experimental hardware platforms.
• Drive AI-Native Workflow Integration by implementing AI/LLM tools within CI, build, and development workflows.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• 2+ years of experience in build systems or automation.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell or Python and proficiency with command-line tools.
• Deep knowledge of Git (including LFS, hooks, and merge strategies).
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD configurations and workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, TeamCity).
• Experience with containerization and virtualization, specifically Docker.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud (Compute Engine & BigQuery) or AWS.
• Familiarity with build systems such as Gradle, Bazel, CMake, or GNU Make.
• Experience with binary artifact management tools like JFROG Artifactory.
• Knowledge of AOSP builds, Yocto, or automated embedded device testing.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT.
