DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for build, test, and deployment
• Provision and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure using Terraform
• Deploy and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes using Helm charts
• Build and maintain Docker images and enforce container security scanning
• Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash to reduce operational toil
• Instrument applications with observability tooling for metrics, logs, and traces
• Lead incident response, triage, and root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with Development and Product teams to build high-availability processes
• Author maintainable documentation for systems and runbooks

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC) and Azure
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions and custom workflows
• Solid Kubernetes skills including deployments, services, and troubleshooting
• Experience packaging applications with Helm
• Proficiency with Docker and container security practices
• Practical scripting skills in Python and Bash
• Experience with observability platforms like Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana
• Demonstrated experience in on-call and incident response
• Strong command of git and branching strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CloudFormation or Ansible
• Familiarity with Rancher for Kubernetes management
• Experience with SonarQube or Nexus
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
