DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale cloud-based CI/CD platforms to support multiple engineering teams.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for AWS environments.
• Build and support Software Build as a Service (SBaaS) platforms utilizing GitHub, GitHub Actions, and self-hosted runners.
• Operate and optimize Debian-based CI/CD workflows, including package builds, artifacts, and automation.
• Support and administer Linux systems and Windows applications within hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
• Manage and scale large CI deployments, focusing on performance tuning, cost optimization, and reliability.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with source code management systems such as GitHub and Perforce (P4).
• Support containerized workflows by managing Kubernetes-based GitHub runners and automated lifecycle management.
• Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure, pipelines, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot complex build, infrastructure, and pipeline issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, security, and compliance teams to deliver reliable platforms.
• Create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and architectural designs.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (VPCs, EC2, IAM, S3, networking, and security).
• Deep expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Extensive experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Experience running and scaling self-hosted CI runners.
• Strong understanding of Debian-based Linux systems and CI/CD workflows.
• Robust Linux OS administration skills, including troubleshooting and automation.
• Experience supporting Windows application environments on-premises.
• Proven track record supporting large-scale CI or build systems for multiple teams.
• Solid understanding of source code management systems (GitHub, Perforce, Git).
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
• 3+ years of IT-related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of experience without a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures.
• Knowledge of artifact repositories, package management, or build caching strategies.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and access controls in CI/CD platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale developer productivity platforms.
• Exposure to container-based CI workloads using Docker and ephemeral environments.
