Devops Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild
• Manage infrastructure using AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code)
• Build, manage, and debug Docker containers and deploy services on ECS (Fargate)
• Work closely with backend services including Flask APIs, workers, and scheduled tasks
• Monitor systems using CloudWatch, Sentry, and other alerting tools
• Troubleshoot issues across APIs, databases, queues, and infrastructure layers
• Manage and maintain MySQL (RDS) databases and schema changes
• Collaborate via Git workflows, including PRs, code reviews, and branching strategies

Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional software, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting (reading and writing production code)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and HTTP
• Strong working knowledge of SQL (MySQL preferred), including queries, joins, and indexes
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Secrets Manager
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
• Strong experience with Docker (Dockerfile, running containers, and debugging)
• Proficiency with Git workflows and Linux command-line tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Flask or other Python web frameworks (Django, FastAPI)
• Exposure to Redis for caching and queues
• Experience with SQLAlchemy or other ORMs
• Familiarity with AI/LLM concepts such as prompts, tokens, and embeddings
• Familiarity with async Python (asyncio, httpx)
