DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide bug fixes, enhancements, and GUI improvements to operational applications
• Develop and deploy software across multiple environments including the cloud
• Integrate software solutions and externally developed code into core libraries
• Maintain software library design, including module API definitions and code organization
• Conduct testing across all levels of the software development life cycle, including regression testing
• Assist in developing standards, methods, and procedures for product quality and release readiness

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and Bash shell scripting
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Software development experience with Python or Java
• Experience integrating COTS software
• Experience working in virtualized infrastructure (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure, Proxmox, GCP)
• Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and CloudFormation
• Experience working with PKI certificates, encryption protocols, and SSL/TLS
• Experience with data exchange formats including JSON and XML
• Working knowledge of data transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, QUIC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with external authentication methods like LDAP or Active Directory
• Experience with data encryption in a secure environment
• Experience with JIRA and GitLab
• Experience configuring and developing in AWS or Azure
• Experience with SQL
• Experience using Agile software development methodologies
• Experience building application workflows with Apache ActiveMQ
