About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment and operation of workloads on AWS (S3, Athena, Glue, Kafka, Iceberg)
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of data pipelines and batch/stream processing jobs
  • Maintain DEV, TEST, and PROD environments in alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines and applications
  • Support incident management, root cause analysis, and ensure data availability for regulatory reporting
  • Implement secure deployment practices, including access management and secrets handling
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Reporting Engineers to promote DevOps best practices

Requirements

  • Proven experience with DevOps practices in data or cloud environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, or similar)
  • Experience supporting Spark-based workloads (PySpark) and Kafka streaming systems
  • Understanding of modern data lake technologies, such as Iceberg
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and Git-based pipelines
  • Familiarity with Python-based services (e.g., Django)
  • Understanding of monitoring, observability, and incident response
  • Awareness of data governance, security, and regulatory constraints in financial environments
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) for Pan-Baltic collaboration
