About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the deployment and operation of workloads on AWS (S3, Athena, Glue, Kafka, Iceberg)
- Ensure the reliability and performance of data pipelines and batch/stream processing jobs
- Maintain DEV, TEST, and PROD environments in alignment with regulatory requirements
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines and applications
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and ensure data availability for regulatory reporting
- Implement secure deployment practices, including access management and secrets handling
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Reporting Engineers to promote DevOps best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience with DevOps practices in data or cloud environments
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, or similar)
- Experience supporting Spark-based workloads (PySpark) and Kafka streaming systems
- Understanding of modern data lake technologies, such as Iceberg
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and Git-based pipelines
- Familiarity with Python-based services (e.g., Django)
- Understanding of monitoring, observability, and incident response
- Awareness of data governance, security, and regulatory constraints in financial environments
- Fluent English (written and spoken) for Pan-Baltic collaboration
