DevOps Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend integrations connecting engineering tools, production systems, and aircraft components
• Create intuitive frontend views and user interfaces for monitoring and analyzing aircraft operations
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, builds, and releases
• Manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems while ensuring compliance with defense standards
• Collaborate with software engineers, hardware teams, and program managers
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in backend and frontend systems
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for integrations and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years in DevOps, backend development, or full-stack engineering
• Proficiency with Linux or POSIX environments and shell scripting
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Go
• Experience with APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and integration tools like Kafka or RESTful services
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS/JavaScript and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular
• Expertise in CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Background in telemetry tools (DataDog, New Relic, Signoz) and reporting tools (Grafana, Tableau)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or defense industries
• Familiarity with DoD standards, ITAR, or secure environments
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes Administrator certifications
• Experience with OpenTelemetry
