DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multi-platform builds (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Integrate security and vulnerability scanning tools into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps)
• Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure including ECS/Fargate, RDS, Route53, VPC, and IAM
• Support multi-tenant and public-sector specific cloud architectures like AWS GovCloud
• Manage Docker containers, ECS task definitions, and ECR registries
• Manage release processes including version promotion and automated deployment
• Support PostgreSQL on AWS RDS including backups and configuration
• Write automation scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Node.js
• Maintain internal DevOps tools built with Express.js, React, and TypeScript

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and YAML configuration
• Production-level experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, IAM)
• Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization
• Strong Git fundamentals and version control workflows
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
• Ability to read and write Node.js/JavaScript code
• Functional knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, DISA STIGs)
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory

Preferred Qualifications

• Kubernetes experience (EKS, GKE, AKS)
• Multi-cloud experience (Azure, GCP)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform)
• TypeScript development experience
• PostgreSQL database administration
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault or CyberArk
• Support of ATO processes and eMASS documentation
