DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure for Upstream business operations
• Provide domain expertise in upstream oil and gas, focusing on data management and E&P processes
• Develop strategic data management roadmaps and ensure adherence to industry standards like PPDM and OSDU
• Offer technical support for geoscience applications including Petrel, Kingdom, and various OSDU platforms
• Utilize Python, PowerShell, Oracle, and SQL scripting for data analysis, export, and integration
• Coordinate application version upgrades and conduct functional testing of new software releases
• Manage data integration, loading, and master data management tasks to ensure high data quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, Oracle, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Solid understanding of database systems, query optimization, and indexing
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or Database Administration
• Direct experience working with Oracle databases
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices
