DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise high-performance, real-time trading systems used across global futures exchanges
• Implement and continuously enhance monitoring, reliability, and observability across front office platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in deployment, release management, and platform stability
• Act as a key escalation point for trading system incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Participate in production support and on-call rotations to ensure market connectivity
• Contribute to audits and regulatory reviews including MiFID II, EMIR, and RTS6
• Support enterprise-grade market data infrastructure and proprietary feed handlers
• Leverage scripting and automation to reduce technical debt

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in capital markets or commodities trading environments
• 10+ years in front-office production support or DevOps for trading platforms
• 8+ years of expertise in FIX protocol including onboarding and troubleshooting
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with kdb+ or Shakti
• Strong understanding of exchange-traded derivatives and trade lifecycles
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, SQL, or C# for automation
• Deep understanding of MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA compliance
• Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and EMS/OMS vendors
• Strong debugging skills with multicast, TCP/IP, and messaging queues
• Eligibility for BPSS clearance
• Must be able to work onsite in London 5 days a week
