DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, setup, and manage CI/CD infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud-based environments
• Automate development, delivery, and deployment processes using scripting and modern tooling
• Monitor application performance and health to detect and eliminate bottlenecks
• Improve system scalability, reliability, and continuous uptime
• Ensure software compliance with security standards and best practices
• Support deployment in internal and external client environments
• Train development teams on using the CI/CD environment and participate in design reviews

Requirements

• Experience in software development, integration, and testing
• Proficiency with Linux environments and shell scripting
• Strong knowledge of networking and security
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker or Podman)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or GitLab-CI)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
• Experience with Artifact Management (Artifactory or Nexus)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, ElasticSearch, or ActiveSearch)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Groovy, or Gradle)

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a similar DevOps position
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Relevant certifications (Jenkins, Azure)
• Experience working with REST APIs (IBM jazz.net, GitLab, Artifactory, etc.)
