DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including managing runners and troubleshooting builds
• Assist with provisioning and configuration management across Linux and Windows environments
• Support virtualization tasks in VMware and Suse Harvester by creating VMs, templates, and images
• Automate routine tasks and administrative duties using Bash and/or PowerShell scripting
• Monitor environments, respond to alerts, and perform routine maintenance and patching
• Collaborate with engineering and IT stakeholders to support reliable, scalable environments
• Contribute to technical documentation, including SOPs, runbooks, and pipeline documentation

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or system administration
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices including version control, CI/CD, IaC, and monitoring
• Proficiency with Git and GitLab (branches, merge requests, and reviews)
• Hands-on exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell
• Proficiency with Linux command line and Windows Server basics
• Ability to write scripts in Bash and/or PowerShell for automation
• Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
• Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Introductory knowledge of Kubernetes and container basics
• Exposure to Suse Harvester
• Relevant professional certifications in Linux, Cloud, or Kubernetes
