DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement systems with security, reliability, and scalability in mind
• Build, maintain, and monitor development pipelines to ensure quality, security, and rapid delivery
• Automate and streamline development operations and processes for deployment, monitoring, and operations
• Provision and manage multiple application environments
• Drive continuous improvement through build automation, test automation, and CI/CD
• Setup application monitoring, actionable alerts, and automation for systems operations like backup, recovery, and patching

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant working experience
• Experience with modern web technologies like Node.js and ReactJS
• Experience with Git versioning workflows
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Atlassian Bamboo, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Proficiency in Shell-scripting
• Familiarity with Agile processes (Scrum, XP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with container technologies like Docker
• Knowledge of network administration (VLAN, subnets, routing, proxies, load balancers, DNS)
• Working knowledge of web hosting components including firewalls, web servers, and database servers
