DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration of infrastructure components.
• Maintain Kubernetes clusters and ensure efficient workload orchestration.
• Manage secrets, access control, and network policies across environments.
• Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability.

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
• Standardize and automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment velocity and rollback strategies.
• Ensure consistent delivery practices across staging and production.

Observability & Reliability

• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Improve system visibility through metrics and tracing.
• Participate in incident response and postmortem analysis.
• Continuously identify and remediate sources of technical debt or instability.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Documentation

• Partner with engineering and product teams to support infrastructure needs.
• Create and maintain clear, reusable documentation and runbooks.
• Promote DevOps best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Proficiency in managing containerized applications using Kubernetes (self-managed or managed services like EKS/GKE).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or FluxCD.
• Solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
• Familiarity with Linux systems, scripting (Bash, Python), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Helm).

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with AWS cloud solutions.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes cluster deployment and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience implementing GitOps practices (FluxCD, Helm, Kustomize).
• Experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for scalable infrastructure.
• Understanding of Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
• Proactive, automation-first approach with a passion for reliability and continuous improvement.
