Development Test Engineer

About the Company

At Nudge, our mission is to develop the best technology for interfacing with the brain to improve people's lives. We are developing a non-invasive, ultrasound-based device that can stimulate and image the brain at high resolution and depth through a vertically integrated effort of hardware, software, and research.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test systems to evaluate device performance, safety, and reliability across mechanical, electrical, acoustic, fabrication, and software components
• Identify critical system-level test parameters and translate risk into high-signal experiments
• Execute tests, analyze results, and provide clear learnings to device and system design teams
• Own and grow a library of validation and characterization tests as the system evolves

Requirements

• At least 4 years of industry experience
• Experience building and running hardware-in-the-loop or instrumentation-heavy tests (acoustic, mechanical, electrical, or mixed-domain)
• Degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, engineering physics, or a similar engineering discipline
• Strong systems-level thinking and ability to work autonomously
• Proven track record of building custom test setups from scratch
• Ability to design fast, scrappy experiments focused on risk reduction
