Development Senior Director, University Initiatives

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and donors for university-wide initiatives and special projects.
• Manage a portfolio focused on building and maintaining relationships with major gift donors.
• Collaborate closely with deans, faculty, and University Advancement to support the mission and strategic goals of CSU.
• Coordinate with annual giving, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, and stewardship teams.
• Support various university programs including Libraries, Student Success and Belonging, the Honors College, and the Biomedical Discovery Complex.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure major and/or planned gifts.
• 7 years of experience in fundraising, development, alumni relations, outreach programming, or project management.
• Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain driver eligibility.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% and availability for evening and weekend events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant experience in higher education development or advancement.
