About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage core Development infrastructure, including SOPs, policies, reporting protocols, and workflow documentation
  • Oversee moves management processes to ensure disciplined tracking and progression of donor relationships
  • Coordinate stewardship activity and reporting for high-profile donors and institutional partners
  • Provide administrative leadership and oversight to shared operational staff supporting Development and Communications
  • Manage complex scheduling, logistics, and coordination across multiple institutions and leadership teams
  • Support campaign planning and readiness activities to accelerate fundraising outcomes

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in Development operations, advancement administration, or a closely related field
  • Experience supporting start-up or growth-phase organizations
  • Strong project management skills and experience developing operational structures
  • Demonstrated experience managing moves management systems and operational workflows
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Ability to work independently and operate effectively amid evolving priorities and ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising reporting tools
  • Experience providing functional direction to shared or dotted-line staff
  • Ability to contribute to the yearly strategic planning of the department
  • Experience in higher education, academic medicine, or healthcare philanthropy
