About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage a major gift portfolio of approximately 125-150 prospects and donors capable of making gifts of $50,000 or greater.
  • Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for outright gifts, pledges, and planned gifts.
  • Travel to assigned geographic regions to conduct an average of 12 face-to-face meetings per month.
  • Document all prospect interactions in contact reports within 10 days of visits.
  • Participate in class reunions, alumni events, Homecoming, and other fundraising activities.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to coordinate major gift fundraising and solicitations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for donor meetings.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of liberal arts education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education fundraising.
  • Experience in face-to-face fundraising or sales.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
