Development Miner

Responsibilities

• Prepare faces, drill load, blast drift/ramp rounds and services
• Participate in underground development including LHD operation, mechanized bolting, and service advance
• Assist with mechanical installations and maintenance of air, water, and ventilation
• Perform pre-operational inspections on manual bolting equipment
• Inspect underground headings and scale loose rocks
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards

Requirements

• Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000 to U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
• Minimum 2 years of underground development experience
• Ability to work at various underground mine sites across Ontario
• Commitment to a safe and efficient work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Accreditation in specialty modules (Mechanized Rock Bolter, Scoop Tram, Scissor Lift, Jumbo Drill, or Haulage Truck)
• Experience with Epiroc Jumbos, MacLean Bolters, and Cat Scoops
• Experience using jacklegs and stoppers
