Development Miner - Maclean Bolter

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspections and ensure safe operation of mechanized bolter
• Inspect existing underground headings and scale loose rocks
• Operate Maclean Bolter to install primary and secondary ground support in development headings
• Operate Maclean Bolter to recondition existing underground drifts and headings
• Participate in underground development including LHD operation, service advancement, and load development faces
• Assist with mechanical installations and maintenance of air, water, and ventilation

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years underground development experience
• Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0003, U0004, U0005, U0006, U0010, & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
• Underground Specialty module U0018 – Operate Mechanized Rock Bolter
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• U0068 A or B – Perform Trackless Haulage
• U0089 – Operate Mechanized Jumbo Drill
• U0091 – Operate Haul Truck
• Previous experience using a jackleg and stoper
