Development Intern

Responsibilities

• Support fundraising operations including donor communications, individual giving appeals, and grant writing
• Assist with event planning and execution, specifically providing onsite support for the Center Stage Soirée on August 8
• Help draft a CRM Data Standards & Procedures Manual and perform data hygiene tasks to ensure record accuracy
• Draft grant proposals or wrap-up reports aligned with funder guidelines and organizational outcomes
• Coordinate donor outreach efforts, including direct mail, emails, and donation page production

Requirements

• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and data entry
• Professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining donor confidentiality
• Availability to work on-site in Chicago for 15–20 hours per week
• Availability to work evening/weekend hours, specifically for the event on August 8

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CRM or donor databases (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, Bloomerang)
• Prior exposure to nonprofit development, marketing, or grant writing
• Familiarity with inclusive language and donor-centered communications
• A strong interest in the performing arts or architecture
