About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical lead and task force manager for critical hardware and software issues related to automotive infotainment products.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the development department and the manufacturing plant to bridge technical gaps.
  • Lead product ownership for testing and software download processes.
  • Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) performance and investigate fallout rates to identify and eliminate root causes.
  • Provide technical support for failure analysis (FA), including field return and zero-km analysis.
  • Lead cost reduction and scrap (IDC) reduction projects through automation and engineering solutions.
  • Conduct technical training for production line staff, debug technicians, and engineers.
  • Support technical assessments during line station buy-off and release to ensure manufacturing readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Microelectronics, or Communications Engineering (or a foreign equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in Automotive Electronics development or as a Product Development Engineer.
  • Proven experience in hardware failure troubleshooting and debugging (Circuit boards, PCBA, and devices).
  • Proficiency in electronic circuit design and analysis.
  • Experience using software diagnostic tools for product troubleshooting.
  • Ability to translate complex schematics and understand electrical/electronic component functions.
  • Familiarity with complex software environments for automotive products.
