Development Engineer for Verification and Validation of Models and Simulations

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements for mathematical models and simulation software, including derivation from system specifications.
• Maintain and update requirements in specialized tools such as IBM DOORS and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Support the verification and validation of mathematical models and simulation software.
• Create and implement verification concepts, integrate software tests, and perform numerical analyses and stress testing.
• Ensure quality assurance during development by maintaining traceability between requirements, models, and tests.
• Prepare all necessary technical documentation for the development process.

Requirements

• Degree in natural sciences or engineering with a focus on modeling, simulation, or software development.
• Professional experience in Systems Engineering or working with complex technical systems.
• Deep knowledge of verification and validation methods and modern software development methodologies.
• Extensive programming experience in at least one of the following: C++, MATLAB/Simulink, or Rust.
• Proficiency with development tools such as GoogleTest, Git, Docker, SonarQube, or Jenkins.
• Strong proficiency working in a Linux environment.
