Development Engineer for Air Defense Simulations

Responsibilities

• Design and develop simulations for complex, highly dynamic air defense systems within an interdisciplinary team
• Develop individual simulation components and integrate them into the overall simulation framework
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cross-sectional simulation framework and associated tools
• Identify project requirements and implement new features in collaboration with colleagues
• Perform simulations and analyses to determine overall system performance
• Prepare and present results to both internal and external partners

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Cybernetics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable scientific field (PhD preferred)
• Proficient programming skills in at least two of the following: Python, C++, Rust, or MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience in developing complex, modular software solutions and maintaining simulations
• Familiarity with modern software development tools such as git, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, CI/CD, and Linux
• Strong analytical thinking skills and a passion for complex technical systems
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team with a positive approach to problem-solving
