Development Engineer, Facility Software Automation

Responsibilities

• Own the infrastructure underpinning the Facility Software Automation platform, including cluster architecture and deployment configuration
• Manage containerization workflows and CI/CD pipelines for telemetry services to ensure fast, safe, and repeatable deployments
• Own the observability layer, including Prometheus, alerting, and dashboards to catch telemetry pipeline problems
• Drive infrastructure-as-code standards to ensure all environment changes are version-controlled and auditable
• Work with engineers to transition new telemetry services from initial commit to production-ready deployment

Requirements

• Experience owning container-based infrastructure in production environments
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent containerization technologies
• Proven ability to build and manage reliable CI/CD pipelines
• Experience driving infrastructure-as-code as a core discipline
• Experience building observability stacks from scratch using Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
• Experience working in environments where data integrity and reliability are critical for operational decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitOps deployment tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Operational experience with NATS and ClickHouse, including tuning and capacity planning
• Experience with compute or critical infrastructure telemetry environments
• Experience deploying and operating services at scale across distributed sites
