About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs for ammunition systems and missiles.
  • Independently manage ammunition safety programs in compliance with military regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct safety and reliability analyses and define risk mitigation measures according to AOP-15, MIL-STD-882E, and IEC61508.
  • Document qualification evidence in accordance with STANAGs, AOPs, and AECTPs.
  • Update and create safety and transport data sheets for ammunition.
  • Coordinate with public clients during audits and serve as the primary contact for customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding ammunition safety.

Requirements

  • Master's degree, Diploma, or PhD in a scientific or technical field, ideally focusing on electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Several years of professional experience in product and ammunition safety.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant NATO ammunition regulations.
  • Strong expertise in hazard analysis techniques and risk assessment methods.
  • Proficiency in reliability analysis methods including FME(C)/(D)A and FTA.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Isograph Reliability Workbench.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
