Development Engineer 5

Responsibilities

• Act as a Technical Lead for complex initiatives, owning end-to-end solution design including APIs, integrations, and data flows
• Design and implement scalable, resilient distributed systems using microservices and event-driven architectures
• Make critical architectural decisions that balance business needs with long-term maintainability
• Mentor and coach junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and architectural oversight
• Drive engineering best practices across automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and system observability
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, QA, and Architecture teams to define technical requirements
• Own production quality and reliability by participating in incident analysis and root-cause investigations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 8–12 years of professional software development experience with proven technical leadership responsibilities
• Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Python or similar languages
• Extensive experience designing and building complex backend systems and distributed systems in cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and messaging/streaming platforms like Kafka
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience designing enterprise integrations using RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure or SAP environments
• Strong knowledge of Data Strategies, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence
• Relevant technology certifications such as MS Certifications or TOGAF
• Familiarity with advanced solution and cloud architecture patterns
