Development Engineer 3

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain code following software development best practices
• Build scalable, high-volume asynchronous and synchronous REST services using microservices architecture
• Design, develop, and deliver software solutions using AWS, Java, and Spring Boot
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and other code quality initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers and Quality Engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Document all development activity and assist with training non-technical personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Hands-on experience with NodeJS and TypeScript
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, API Gateway, CloudFormation)
• Experience developing serverless applications using Lambda and Step Functions
• Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience deploying applications on AWS EKS clusters
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of automation testing
