Development Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate, industry, and community partners to support university priorities.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate gifts, sponsorships, and community-based partnership opportunities.
• Build long-term relationships with corporate leaders, HR/talent teams, and community engagement officers.
• Secure philanthropic support through sponsorships, annual giving, major gifts, and community-focused funding initiatives.
• Collaborate with deans and faculty to align academic programs with industry needs, including internships and mentorships.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and revenue progress using the University CRM (Raiser’s Edge/NXT).
• Represent Texas Wesleyan University as a visible ambassador at civic, business, and community events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in fundraising, corporate relations, business development, or partnership management.
• Proven success in relationship management and revenue generation.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, specifically Raiser’s Edge/NXT.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including expertise in proposal development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Experience working within higher education or nonprofit environments.
• Experience supporting corporate or foundation funding efforts and major gift solicitation.
