Development Center Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in new product introductions by working with cross-functional teams to develop new products or processes.
• Drive EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) alignment related to products, raw materials, and process equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement teams and product and process understanding (PPU) efforts to optimize safety, cycle time, uptime, yield, and cost.
• Manage capital equipment projects and determine future capital needs for the manufacturing area.
• Cultivate an extensive network of support across laboratory, quality, financial, and manufacturing departments to facilitate project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of engineering experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Five (5) years of product, process, or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical, chemical, and/or electrical aptitude with practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Analysis.
• Proficiency with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
