Development and Validation Engineer – Transmissions & Driveline

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level DFMEA development and define comprehensive System Requirements
• Own the DVPR (Design Verification Plan and Report) and manage test execution to ensure functional and durability goals
• Participate in post-test reviews and failure analysis to identify root causes of development issues
• Lead triage investigations to ensure product robustness, efficiency, and driveability
• Support assembly plant activities to facilitate smooth product launches
• Lead root cause analysis for field warranty and quality investigations

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or an equivalent Engineering degree
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in Automatic Transmission, Driveline, or Electrified Powertrain hardware
• Knowledge of transmission and driveline operations, including gears, clutches, and electrohydraulic components
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project
• Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering
• Experience in software integration, calibration, efficiency optimization, or thermal management
• Practical experience with transmission/driveline testing procedures (in-vehicle or on a dynamometer)
