About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of direct reports to coordinate statutory consenting activities for large-scale capital investment projects.
- Ensure all statutory consenting requirements are identified and met through collaboration with Project, Land, Planning, Estates, and Legal teams.
- Provide leadership through planning and consenting processes, including public consultation and statutory engagement.
- Manage the monitoring of project milestones and intervene to resolve risks or delays impacting site access or statutory compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, and regulators like OFGEM.
- Implement data management systems and audit trails to ensure documentation integrity for regulatory scrutiny and judicial review.
- Oversee project performance KPIs and reporting to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a line manager, specifically managing large-scale infrastructure or customer projects.
- Experience working with statutory processes within a regulated industry.
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working within a programme management environment involving multiple projects and disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex programmes, contracts, and statutory consent processes.
