About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports to coordinate statutory consenting activities for large-scale capital investment projects.
  • Ensure all statutory consenting requirements are identified and met through collaboration with Project, Land, Planning, Estates, and Legal teams.
  • Provide leadership through planning and consenting processes, including public consultation and statutory engagement.
  • Manage the monitoring of project milestones and intervene to resolve risks or delays impacting site access or statutory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, and regulators like OFGEM.
  • Implement data management systems and audit trails to ensure documentation integrity for regulatory scrutiny and judicial review.
  • Oversee project performance KPIs and reporting to meet the needs of various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a line manager, specifically managing large-scale infrastructure or customer projects.
  • Experience working with statutory processes within a regulated industry.
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working within a programme management environment involving multiple projects and disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programmes, contracts, and statutory consent processes.
