Developer Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve API and SDK use issues alongside customer codebases in Python or TypeScript
• Reproduce customer-reported bugs and collaborate with Engineering to resolve them
• Own support communications via Slack and email to build trust with developers
• Write and maintain knowledge base documentation to unblock future developers
• Identify opportunities to improve developer experience, tools, and documentation
• Write scripts, fix bugs, and contribute to internal tooling
• Capture and relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical customer issues
• Provide technical mentorship to cross-functional peers

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in a developer-facing support role (Support Engineer, Developer Success, or TAM)
• Ability to write, debug, and reason through Python and/or TypeScript codebases
• Proficiency in learning and reasoning about APIs, SDKs, and developer tools
• Strong ownership of technical problems and follow-through
• Clear, empathetic, and effective communication skills
• High curiosity regarding LLM use cases and AI reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting developer tools, ML infrastructure, or observability platforms
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs
• Comfort working with datasets, evaluation metrics, or prompt engineering
• Experience contributing to support tooling or product-led growth
• Experience submitting PRs to production codebases (backend, SDKs, or infrastructure)
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, or cloud certifications
