About the role

About the Company

Runlayer is a platform for MCPs, Skills, and Agents, providing purpose-built security, fine-grained governance, and complete observability for enterprises adopting AI. Having raised a $30M Series A, the team is focused on enabling organizations to deploy AI agents and workflows safely.

Responsibilities

  • Own major conference presence including AWS re:Invent, AI Engineer World's Fair, and MCP Dev Summit
  • Run DevRel events such as meetups, hackathons, dinners, and technical workshops
  • Manage booth strategy, speaking slots, side events, and customer dinners
  • Build and nurture the technical community around Runlayer and the MCP ecosystem
  • Create technical content and demos for event distribution
  • Partner with engineering and product to ensure technical credibility
  • Drive partner co-marketing activations with companies like Cursor, 1Password, and Anthropic

Requirements

  • 5+ years in developer relations, technical community, or technical events at B2B SaaS, infra, or AI companies
  • Technical background with the ability to engage with senior engineers and prior coding experience
  • Proven experience managing major conference sponsorships and booth operations end-to-end
  • Strong ability to deliver demos and talks on stage to technical audiences
  • Established network in the developer, AI, or infrastructure communities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with MCP, AI agents, or LLM tooling
  • Background as an engineer prior to transitioning to DevRel
  • Track record of building technical communities from scratch
  • Experience running hackathons or technical workshops
