Developer Relations (DevRel)

Responsibilities

• Be highly visible in the San Francisco developer community through meetups, hackathons, and conferences
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, founders, platform engineers, and DevOps professionals
• Organize and host Aikido-specific events, including workshops, happy hours, and developer meetups
• Engage actively with the developer community across online platforms like X, Slack, and Discord
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support launches and translate community insights into better messaging
• Grow Aikido’s reputation as a premier developer-first security company

Requirements

• Proven experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or community leadership
• Background working with developer tools, DevOps platforms, or security products
• Active involvement in the developer ecosystem with an existing professional network
• Based in San Francisco and excited to engage in-person with the local community
• Strong technical curiosity and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers
• Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running or contributing to personal content channels such as a blog, newsletter, or YouTube channel
• Established social presence within the developer community
