Developer, Portworx Backup

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SaaS microservices and integrate new features into the Portworx product portfolio
• Take full ownership of the development lifecycle, including design, unit/functional testing, code reviews, and documentation
• Collaborate with stakeholders and peers to transition solutions from initial design to production
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices for cloud-hosted environments
• Experiment with new technologies to innovate and push the state-of-the-art in data storage solutions
• Adapt to customer feedback to resolve issues found during testing and deployment

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, and testing product components
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or Go
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and scalable SaaS platforms
• Solid computer science background in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience designing and owning microservices within distributed system architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and working experience with Kubernetes and Containers
• Experience building and integrating Authentication (SSO, LDAP) and Authorization (RBAC, OAuth) frameworks
• Experience with Kubernetes Control Plane development
• Experience automating SaaS billing and usage reporting
• Experience building systems for production telemetry reporting
• Experience building public-facing SDKs
