Developer Education Lead

Responsibilities

• Own the education strategy for OpenAI's product ecosystem, including Codex, ChatGPT, and APIs
• Build and manage an education roadmap prioritizing learning formats across product launches
• Create scalable educational programs, demos, curricula, workshops, and interactive experiences
• Design learning journeys for both developers and non-technical users
• Partner with product, research, engineering, and GTM teams to ensure clear educational framing for launches
• Experiment with new formats like in-product learning, hands-on labs, and AI-native tutorials
• Establish feedback loops and quality bars to keep materials current as models evolve
• Define and track success metrics reflecting user activation and AI fluency

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in developer education, developer relations, technical content strategy, or product marketing
• Experience owning end-to-end education or content strategy roadmaps
• Proven track record of making complex technical or scientific ideas actionable for broad audiences
• Technical fluency to prototype with AI tools and partner with engineering teams
• Experience building scalable educational programs or content systems
• Strong writing, storytelling, editing, and facilitation skills
• Ability to operate in fast-moving environments with changing product surfaces
