Responsibilities

  • Build a hackathon playbook, owning HeyGen-hosted, co-hosted, virtual, and sponsored hackathons end to end
  • Plan and run meetups, including venue, speakers, partners, logistics, and promotion
  • Own community channels such as Discord and Reddit to keep them active and high-signal
  • Build a Developer advocacy program and design a framework for a developer Ambassador program
  • Feed insights, pain points, and feature requests back to Product and Engineering teams
  • Measure and report on community health metrics

Requirements

  • 3+ years in developer community, DevRel, developer marketing, or technical community management
  • Track record of running successful Hackathons and meetups
  • Experience growing online communities on Discord, Reddit, and GitHub
  • Technical fluency to read API docs, make API calls, and build small demos
  • Strong operational and logistics skills
  • Ability to be on-site and travel for events
  • Self-starter comfortable in fast-moving, early-stage environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships in the AI, builder, or hackathon scene
  • Familiarity with AI video, avatars, or generative media
  • Comfortable hosting, MCing, or speaking at events
