Detailing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review projects with PM and field staff to develop detailing plans
• Review submittals for compliance with contract documents and specifications
• Establish and coordinate detailing, fabrication, and erection sequencing
• Develop RFIs to address project issues and follow up on answers
• Ensure approval comments are incorporated into drawings prior to release
• Monitor procedures to maintain detailing standards and job specifications
• Direct detailers to ensure compliance with company and AIS standards
• Participate in project detailing coordination meetings
• Travel to jobsites for site surveys and field measurements as needed

Requirements

• Basic understanding of steel construction and fabrication
• Experience in steel detailing
• Experience in BIM modeling and model coordination
• Minimum 2 year certification in professional detailing or equivalent degree
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural and miscellaneous detailing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SDS/2 software
• Experience with Tekla software
