About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users regarding computer hardware, software, telephony, and audio/video troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and respond to requests received through the IT Service Desk and manage assigned tickets.
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, laptops, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software.
  • Maintain updated IT hardware and asset inventory.
  • Support audio/video conference infrastructure, printing/scanning/faxing, and phone/cellphone systems.
  • Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for local workstations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Must obtain DoD IAT level 1 certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of PC hardware components and configurations.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7/10 in an Active Directory environment.
  • General understanding of networking and the server/client model to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
