OXMAN is a nature-based research and design company based in Manhattan. We incubate ventures and technologies that reimagine the relationship between humanity and the natural world. EDEN, a division of OXMAN, is a digital design environment for engineering and designing ecosystems, modeling the flows, relationships, and processes that sustain them.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, landscape architects, and computational designers to design nature-centric developments.
• Develop spatial strategies and typologies that integrate built and living systems.
• Rapidly generate and iterate on design concepts through sketching, diagramming, and modeling.
• Produce high-quality visual materials including plans, sections, diagrams, renderings, and models.
• Translate environmental performance data into spatial design decisions and visual frameworks.
• Contribute to the development of a coherent visual and representational language for EDEN projects.
• Support the development of design guidelines, toolkits, and reusable frameworks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architecture or landscape architecture.
• Advanced degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual design thinking and exceptional representation skills.
• Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong planning skills across multiple scales.
• Ability to synthesize complex environmental, technical, and spatial data.
• Interest in ecological design, systems thinking, or performance-driven design.
• Strong collaborative mindset for interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ecological design or performance-driven design processes.
