Designer – Menswear

Responsibilities

• Interpret seasonal direction and creative briefs from senior designers and leadership
• Create CAD sketches, construction details, and print recolors
• Develop silhouettes, prints, fabrications, and color palettes for assigned categories
• Independently own projects from concept to completion, including design handoffs and approvals
• Lead fittings, assess garment construction, and provide clear feedback
• Prepare tech packs for costing and set up production BOMs for fabric, trim, and packaging
• Partner with merchandising, product development, technical design, licensing, and sales teams
• Collaborate with patternmakers and sewers to execute design intent
• Oversee junior designers’ work to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Maintain PLM systems with up-to-date tracking and style information
• Conduct market and trend research to identify new opportunities

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in apparel design, preferably in men’s fashion
• Experience designing for GAP, Eddie Bauer, or similar brands
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and PLM systems
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and technical specifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field strongly preferred
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Effective mentorship and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with major club accounts such as Costco and Sam's Club
• Club packaging experience
• Strong fabric knowledge to support sourcing and production approvals
