Designer III

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of preliminary design plans including site, utility, and grading plans
• Uphold CAD and design standards to ensure consistency and quality
• Set up comprehensive sheet packages for construction drawing plan sets
• Develop detailed site layout plans and utility layouts for water and sanitary sewer infrastructure
• Generate 3D surface models and conduct earthwork volume analysis using Civil 3D
• Coordinate with regulatory review agencies to address comments
• Mentor and train newer staff members to foster professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EI) on path to Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
