Designer III

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of preliminary design plans including site, utility, and grading plans
• Uphold CAD and design standards to ensure consistency and quality
• Set up comprehensive sheet packages for construction drawing plan sets
• Develop detailed site layout plans and utility layouts for water and sanitary sewer infrastructure
• Create preliminary and final grading plans and generate 3D surface models
• Utilize Civil 3D to create complex alignments, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks
• Support storm drainage system planning and sediment/erosion control design
• Coordinate with regulatory review agencies to address comments
• Provide guidance and mentorship to new team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Engineer in Training (EI) on path to Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
