Mithrl is building the world's first commercially available AI Co-Scientist for drug discovery. Our platform transforms messy biological data into insights in minutes, sitting at the intersection of ontology, machine learning, and scientific reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Design and Code by transforming high-level concepts into functional products
• Own complex frontend surfaces including knowledge graph visualizations and AI-native query interfaces
• Build advanced, high-fidelity interactive prototypes using real biological data and APIs
• Shape architectural decisions and participate in technical planning and code reviews
• Establish and evolve a robust UI design system with reusable components
• Innovate with AI tools to accelerate the design-to-code pipeline
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product leaders

Requirements

• 5+ years in product design or frontend engineering
• Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, and CSS
• Strong foundation in visual and interaction design
• Experience with data visualization and complex information density
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong product thinking and user experience advocacy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building design-centric products at scale
• Intellectual engagement with biological or scientific domains
• Experience with protein-protein interaction networks or ontology graphs
