About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute multi-faceted research plans, including qualitative discovery research on jobsites and competitive product analysis.
  • Build and maintain a network of professional users to understand evolving needs and work contexts.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable insights for new features, functionalities, and business approaches.
  • Plan and facilitate hands-on tool evaluations, team workshops, and participatory co-creation sessions.
  • Present research findings to key stakeholders using engaging storytelling, photos, video, and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Business, or Engineering; or a Bachelor's degree in these fields plus one year of experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with video editing and 2D software (e.g., QuickTime, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel domestically 25-40% for overnight assignments.
  • Ability to present a project and its methodology during the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse teams including engineers, designers, and marketers.
  • Comfort approaching potential research participants in field environments like construction sites.
