About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Body Exterior Trim components including bumpers, grilles, and roof rails
- Perform concept development, feasibility studies, and package reviews
- Drive component optimization for cost, weight, quality, and manufacturability
- Manage engineering release activities, ECRs, and BOM structures
- Develop and execute Engineering Design Validation (DV) and Process Validation (PV) plans
- Coordinate design reviews, DFMEA activities, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with Styling, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing teams
- Ensure compliance with automotive regulations and homologation requirements
Requirements
- Strong experience in automotive Body Exterior Trim design and development
- Expertise in plastic part design, injection molding, and tooling development
- Proficiency in UG NX for design and engineering activities
- Hands-on experience with Teamcenter or PLM systems
- Deep understanding of DFM/DFA, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Experience with component validation, DFMEA, and APQP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ENOVIA
- Exposure to CATIA
