Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the design process from inception through construction documentation
• Review technical requirements and validate scope boundaries for design packages
• Develop and maintain the Design Management Plan
• Facilitate value management, constructability workshops, and risk analysis sessions
• Manage design-related RFIs and changes in coordination with construction management
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing to verify adherence to quality standards
• Coordinate the issuance of finalized as-built drawings and support close-out activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in design management for commercial real estate or large-scale construction
• In-depth knowledge of design standards, building codes, and construction processes
• Proficiency in BIM tools and design coordination software
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with construction management tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
• Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory compliance
