Design Manager - Track

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver major, complex railway infrastructure projects from inception to completion
• Manage the engineering/design process and interface coordination of large multi-disciplinary teams
• Set communication guidelines across disciplines to ensure progress and quality
• Lead technical discussions with clients and act as a senior representative
• Manage relationships with clients, regulators, statutory bodies, and key stakeholders
• Champion health, safety, environmental, sustainability, and customer outcomes
• Undertake project and programme reviews to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex rail infrastructure projects (high-speed rail, metro, or light rail)
• Experience managing and directing large project teams (insourced and outsourced)
• Experience delivering to demanding schedules, targets, and quality standards
• Must have the right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

• NEC Option A Lump Sum contracting experience
• Tier 1 contracting experience
• Chartered Engineer status
